GlucoCom Test Strips

The GlucoCom meter and test strips work together to measure the amount of blood glucose present in your blood at any given time. A blood sample is applied to the absorbent fill channel of the test strip. The blood is automatically drawn into the reaction cell where a reaction takes place. A visual verification window shows you when enough blood was applied to the test strip.

With the GlucoCom System, you only need to apply a tiny blood sample (0.7 microliters) to the test strip to complete a test. This can result in less pain with obtaining a blood sample. The reaction happens very fast and will provide you a result in 7 seconds.

It is important to only use GlucoCom test strips with the GlucoCom blood glucose meter.
Using other test strips with the GlucoCom meter will result in inaccurate results. Refer to the test strip package insert for more detailed test strip information.

GlucoCom Lancet Device and Lancets

To obtain a blood sample to test your blood glucose, you need a lancet device and a lancet. The GlucoCom meter kit contains the auto-Lancet™ device and lancets for blood sampling. The auto-Lancet™ device will prick your finger to produce a small drop of blood for testing. The auto-Lancet™ has an adjustable tip that offers 5 levels of skin penetration. This allows you to select the depth that is most comfortable for you and provides the best sample.

A clear cap is also included in the GlucoCom meter kit. This clear cap connects to the auto-Lancet™ device and makes it easier to get a drop of blood from sites other than the fingertips for when you are doing alternative site testing.
